Privacy Policy

Sokii is an app for creating your own story worlds and short video series. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1Who we are

Sokii is made by Dreamflux AI Private Limited, a company registered in India ("Sokii", "we", "us"). This policy covers the Sokii mobile app, the website at sokii.tv, and our waitlist.

2What we collect

  • Account details. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We don't receive your Google password, and we don't access your Gmail, contacts, Drive or any other Google data.
  • What you create. Story ideas, messages and edits you send while creating, characters, scripts, and the images, voices and videos Sokii makes for you.
  • Photos you choose to add. If you pick a photo from your device to use in a story, we upload that photo only. Sokii doesn't browse your photo library.
  • Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist on sokii.tv, we keep your email address so we can invite you.
  • App usage and device information. Which screens and features you use, episodes you watch, crash reports, device model, operating system, app version, language, and approximate location (country or region) based on your IP address.
  • Notifications. If you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can tell you when your episode is ready.
  • Messages to us. If you report a problem or contact support, we keep what you send us.
  • Purchases. If you buy something in Sokii, the payment is handled by Google Play or another payment provider. We receive a confirmation of the purchase, not your full card details.

3How we use it

  • To run Sokii: sign you in, save your stories, and make the episodes you ask for.
  • To show your creations back to you and, if you choose, to people you share them with.
  • To send messages you asked for, such as waitlist invites and "your episode is ready" notifications.
  • To fix bugs, answer support requests, and improve how Sokii works.
  • To keep Sokii safe: preventing abuse, spam and content that breaks our rules.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We don't use your information for third-party advertising, and we don't sell it.

Google user data. We use the name, email address and profile picture we receive from Google Sign-In only to create your Sokii account, sign you in and show your profile in the app. We don't sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers that host Sokii for us. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

4How AI creation works

Sokii uses AI models to write scripts, draw pictures, create voices and make videos. To do this, the ideas, text and photos you give Sokii are sent to AI service providers who process them and return the result to us. They handle this data on our behalf so we can make your content.

Please don't put sensitive personal information (such as health details or ID numbers) into your stories, and only upload photos you have the right to use.

5Who we share it with

  • Service providers that help us run Sokii: sign-in, cloud hosting and storage, AI generation, product analytics, crash reporting, email delivery, notifications and payments. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
  • People you choose. If you share or export a story or video, whoever you share it with can see it.
  • Legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or Sokii.
  • Business changes. If Sokii is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may move with it, under this policy.

6How long we keep it

We keep your account and creations for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep some of it for legal, security or billing reasons. Backups are cleared on their normal cycle.

7Your choices and rights

  • Turn notifications on or off in your phone settings.
  • Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it.
  • Ask us to delete your account and data.
  • Leave the waitlist by asking us to remove your email.

Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law, such as the right to object to or limit certain uses. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We'll reply within 30 days.

8Deleting your account

Email [email protected] from the email address on your Sokii account, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll delete your account, your stories and your uploaded photos. Full details are on the Delete your account page.

9Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and secure cloud providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and will act quickly if something goes wrong.

10Children

Sokii is not meant for children. You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires it, to use Sokii. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

11Where data is processed

Our team and service providers may process information in countries other than the one you live in, including India and the United States. When we do, we take steps to protect it as described in this policy.

12Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect.
